Last week, a jury awarded ex-wrestler, Hulk Hogan $115 million in his current legal case against Gawker, the media house that leaked his sex tape.
However, just three days after the verdict was reached, the jury has also awarded Hulk Hogan an additional $25 million.
Yesterday, after hours of deliberations, Gawker Media was hit with $15 million in punitive damages while its founder Nick Denton will have to personally pay $10 million to Hulk.
While last week’s verdict was for economic injuries and emotional distress, the new verdict is related to punitive damages warded to punish the defendant.
This makes a total of $140 million awarded to Hulk Hogan!
